Twin Mac: "If you have updated to Mac OS X 10.4.3, and you use a program that taps Apple's Sudden Motion Sensor (aka Apple Motion Sensor, AMS), you will have found that it no longer works. The most classic examples of AMS apps were authored by Amit Singh and gave very visual demonstrations of the functionality. However, in 10.4.3, Apple has chosen to close the API. In a statement from Apple, they said in regards to the matter "At this time, this API is not available for public use. The motion sensor is functioning properly and continues to provide hard disk protection."
